SUPERCHARGE YOUR CHILD’S AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Our after-care students learn martial arts, self-defense, gymnastics and parkour…so basically we spend the afternoons training ninjas! All in a cooperative environment in which kids have responsibility for others and show respect to others. We also teach students to manage responsibilities that are theirs alone: a clean uniform, homework agenda, good grades and respectful interaction. Our program stresses personal discipline, taking responsibility and setting goalsβ€”skills that carry us through life. We also promote self-confidence and self-respect, which give your child the courage to say NO in the face of peer pressure.

Best of all, our martial arts classes are full of excitement and fun!

BENEFITS OF MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING

REGULAR ACTIVITIES HELP PROMOTE NORMALCY

As adults and community leaders, it is our job to create structure for our children. Having a scheduled activity helps parents and kids feel that their day is structured and organized. Our daily routine at Raise Leaders is fixed and includes structured home-work time, training and game time with friends.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY is essential for GOOD MENTAL HEALTH

Kids have anxiety too! Regular exercise is an important component to good mental health. Kids who exercise often are less prone to intense stress. Raise Leaders martial arts classes can help reduce stress and help kids manage anxiety. Martial Arts training focuses on a mind-body connection which can help kids feel emotionally and mentally grounded.

kids who practice martial arts are more disciplined

Raise Leaders Martial Arts training teaches students discipline through tradition, structure, formality and goal setting. Attending classes requires a commitment and sticking to it. Additionally, students will have stripe tests, belt tests and other goal challenges that will help them to develop self-esteem. Many behavioral problems caused by a lack of discipline can make kids feel frustrated, lower their self-esteem and create a never-ending negative cycle. With guidance from our qualified instructors, students can break the cycle through fun activities and positive encouragement.

My daughter (11) and son (8) have been attending Raise Leaders programs for 4 years! Our kids consider everyone family there. I am so relieved that I can go to work knowing my kids are having a blast in a safe and positive environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT RAISE LEADERS PROGRAMS

Our staff to student ratio is 1:8 for the juniors group (ages 6-8) and 1:10 for the seniors group (ages 9-14). We also have a leadership team member assigned to each counselor. We strive to provide our students with a positive and individualized experience. Having a small program allows us to help campers develop confidence, make friends and practice leadership. (In Florida, the law requires a 25:1 student to counselor ratio).

Positive environment - Our students, instructors and staff practice positivity at all times. We work hard to motivate and uplift one another. We believe that happiness and well-being has a powerful effect on children resulting in more positive behavior, better motivation to learn and greater self discipline - leading to increased success throughout daily life.

Our program is ACTIVE - Our students run, kick, jump, sweat, train and play every day. TKD kids are fit kids and we always strive to enhance fitness and martial arts skill levels. Our students receive at least 2 to 4 hours of physical activity each day exceeding Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards.

Safety is paramount at Raise Leaders. All staff members must pass a nationwide background and drug screening and must hold current CPR certification.

Our program is FUN - Our students have a blast everyday! We teach exciting martial arts classes (like board breaking and jump kicks) and play team sports (yes, we love soccer), as well as do other fun fitness activities including parkour, gymnastics and obstacle courses.

Our program is FRIENDLY - Our students develop friendships that last a lifetime in a positive, motivating environment. Components of our curriculum include anti-bullying and the value of friendship.

Our program promotes LEADERSHIP - Our students say yes ma'am and yes sir and participate in group discussions about leadership, courtesy, integrity and responsibility.
