ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Our camp to counselor ratio is 1:8 for the juniors group (ages 6-8) and 1:10 for the seniors group (ages 9-14). We also have a leadership team member assigned to each counselor. We strive to provide our campers with a positive and individualized experience. Having a small camp allows us to help campers develop confidence, make friends and practice leadership. (In Florida, the law requires a 25:1 camper to counselor ratio).
Safety is paramount at Raise Leaders. All camp counselors must pass a nationwide background and drug screening and must hold current CPR certification. Our counselors are trained as mentors and participate in leadership training to ensure that campers have a positive experience.
Transportation: We transport campers in fully air-conditioned 15 Passenger Ford E-350 vans. Each camper is required to wear a seat belt. We have booster seats available for our smaller campers. Our drivers are subject to rigorous criminal background checks and must have clean driving records. Fun fact: You probably know our drivers! We hire drivers with a family relation to the Raise Leaders program, so more than likely their kids are campers with your kids!
What to bring to camp: Campers will need water, snacks, lunch, a camp t-shirt and sneakers. Sunblock must be worn and should be brought for reapplication throughout the day.
